The Largest Collegiate Archery Club
Established in Fall 2005, Cal Archery has since grown to become the largest collegiate archery club in the country. Every year we strive to provide the UC Berkeley community the opportunity to experience all styles of archery, including Olympic and non-Olympic recurve, compound, and even traditional.
No equipment? No experience? No problem!
Not only does our club provide equipment, we also have many USA Archery certified instructors and coaches that are more than happy to guide beginning archers into the sport. At the beginning of each semester we hold a series of beginner sessions FREE OF CHARGE for anyone interested in trying out the sport of archery.
To sign up for beginner sessions, please come to our general meeting at the beginning of each semester. Even if you missed our beginner sessions, don’t worry! Just stop by during club practice and we’ll be happy to teach you!
During the regular school year, our club holds three weekday and one weekend practice per week to accommodate for students’ schedules and give our archers as much shooting time as possible. For more information about the club or on how to join Cal Archery, please visit the Club Information and Joining Cal Archery page.
For those interested in shooting beyond the recreational level, Cal Archery also has a highly ranked, competitive team that has won numerous awards at the regional, state, and national level. Through our ASCENT program, we have been able to turn beginners who have never touched a bow before into some of the most dominant archers in the collegiate archery world. Please visit the ASCENT and the Cal Archery Team page for more information about each respective program.
Thank you for your interest in Cal Archery, and we hope to see you on the field! Go Bears!
